About
Groundwork is the charity with a green heart. We work in Hull and the wider Yorkshire region enabling people to make positive changes to their lives and their community.
We run various projects such as Green Doctors Service where we:
• Offer help residents in staying warm, well, and save money on household bills.
• Provide free, impartial advice to help individuals take control of their bills, save energy, and access relevant services.
• Cover issues like debt with energy or water companies.
• Conduct face-to-face consultations, including home visits, to identify concerns and make referrals for additional support.
• Offer installations services such as draught proofing, LED light bulbs, reflective radiator panels, and more.

Also, at The Shed which serves as an inclusive hub for fostering friendships and involvement in various craft we:
• Run Workshops covering woodworking, carving, upcycling, decoupage, sewing, knitting, crocheting, card-making, and more.
• Run The Community Repaint Scheme for Hull and Humber, selling viable paint at £2 per liter.

And at Springhead Park Golf Club Community Hub And at Springhead Park Golf Club, Groundwork has transformed the clubhouse into a community hub since 2014, services include:
• a 7-day coffee shop
• a Community Freezer with affordable food
• a home meal delivery service for the elderly
• weekly Knit and Natter, Bee Social with Age UK, and Veterans Supper club
